Anti-Rape Condoms?

I'm not sure if this was posted before or not, but if it was, sorry.

I'm dumb and just found out about this, but pretty much the idea of it is a woman inserts a condom inside her and if a man tries to violate her during that time it will clamp tightly on his dick, so tight that he wont be able to pee, but not rough enough to actually tear skin. It hurts brutally because it has "teeth" in it to make the male suffer and can only get it off by doctors.

At first glance it seems like a good idea.
Personally though, I don't support it.
Just for this one reason and one reason alone.

I'm sure some of you guys have concieved the idea to hurt someone to the point of rape once, was it not feelings more of hatred rather then "Man I wanna get laid tonight, hey sweet thang wassup?" Rape 9/10 times is hatred based, not for the sex.

I saw those a while ago. there was some debate as to wheter or not they were a good thing. on the positive, it just existing is a deterant. on the negative, if a woman has one on and some dude tries to rape her, getting stuck by it might make him super pissed and resort to extreme violence.

Yep that's the catch - if the dude's aware that there's a trap in her ladyparts, game's over. So if this anti-rape condom becomes too well-known to men, it will fizzle out. Of course that's the whole selling point of this product - the rapist doesn't know about it. So if the rapist is aware of that possibility, this product's percentage of success will greatly diminish, increasing the chances of the woman to be still... well, raped.

Expect rapists to include long tweezers in their repertoire if this thing gets popular.

Although there's a possibility we could see a slight percentage increase in buttrape.

I think they are a fine idea, but it is sad they are almost EXPECTING to be raped. Instead of such last-chance measures, education and prevention methods should be taught...

Also, to those worried: yeah, if you get one stuck on you, you'll live. It doesn't do any permanent damage, except to your ego.

OT: I think it'd be better if the condom could somehow drug the rapist so that he would pass out before he could even finish the deed, giving the victim a chance to escape and call for help. Otherwise, I think it's possible that the pain from the condom will make it unbearable enough for the rapist to be unable to restrain his victim, much less rape her any further.

However, that's still a chance that this sort of maneuver could encourage rapists to bring something even more brutal to the table, for example, a sort of condom that can counter the condom used for defensive measures, and cause even more harm to its victim.

I just think it will make them madder though.
Murder rates would probably be higher from their rage strength.
And technically, in order to wear this you have to insert it inside yourself, so if you're a virgin or something you're technically raping yourself.

My biggest problem are the teeth bit, yes I understand the concept of making the man suffer, but technically it's tight enough he wont be able to pee anyway, I think the teeth is a tad bit much, he's ego would be hurt just as much but atleast he wouldn't be as mad. He'd just literally be cockblocked.

Big problem number two, misuse. By girls who may want to smite their boyfriends for something trivial and use this. Right now its in the countries where it is understandable for a thing like this, but here in America, lots of people take stuff for granted and mistreat its main purpose, it could so easily be used as pranks etc.

You have a very positive view on all this ,but highly unrealistic...a product that will SLIGHTLY increase your chance of getting away but will dangerously increase the amount of aggression felt by the attacker (possibly fueling him to kill the victim) is not really very efficient..also the device does little to deter actual violence and simply stops rape , which is great..except you just gave a most likely very sick individual a dick full of sharp metal..on a side note people making this product seem to assume rape always involves only two people..an attacker and a victim , when in many of the nations where the target demographic of this product live, it is not unlikely for a women to be attacked by multiple assailants..so you have one guy injured and mad with all his buddies ready to go...I wonder how likely it is you get raped to DEATH..hmmm..in all seriousness a taser ,pepper spray , or hell even a freaking rape whistle will probably do you more good in the long run.

Have you even read any articles about this? (Here's one.) There is no metal involved, and these so-called "teeth" don't even break skin. I don't know how this doctor engineered it so, but it's supposed to be so painful that the man can't even urinate or walk once it's attached. So in a scenario in which there are only two people involved, it will make a difference.

I agree with your point about scenarios in which multiple individuals are involved. In that case though, there's only so much one person alone can do.

Honsetly, I don't see how it can help, since it's assuming that the guy's already putting it in. If it comes down to that, your chances of escaping are already slim.

It's like a last-resort measure, when everything else fails. And it doesn't prevent the act of rape actually taking place, it just makes it painful for rapists. And if they're masochists...well, not gonna help then.


I also wonder about just as how comfortable it is for the woman. I mean, I don't see anyone wearing it for half a day inside their ass or vagina...
