[font=verdana][color=green]Tbh, England doesn't take swearing seriously at all. We very relaxed when it comes to swearing, which is great.
But yes, it's that exact scenario that really winds me up. I mean, I have seen so many times in the papers about St George's Day being banned in pubs, or even flags being prevented from flying, whilst the Chinese New Year is a go. I mean, I'm not being racist but (one of my favourite sentences)when the people who moved to our Motherland get offended by our customs and such, and as a result they get stopped, it's just not on.
I mean, it's just ludicrous.
Actually, wasn't it being thrown around in England to allow Muslims to setup Sharia-Law courts, or something like that? [In the same vein, I disagree with France banning burqas and Switzerland banning the construction of Mosques (please correct me if I got something wrong)]
[font=Verdana][color=green]Of course it was. It will still be debated over for a long time, mind you. Whilst I don't disrespect the Sharia-Law Courts, I feel that it's insulting to our law. Very insulting, in fact.
Yes, it was France banning the burka, they also banned the Niqab. However, the French felt that the Muslim women have other alternatives to the burka, which they do;
- The Hijab;
- The Al-Amira;
- The Shayla;
- The Khimar;
- The Chador.
All of these alternatives leaves the face free. That's why the burka was banned. I can easily see this particular law sweeping throughout other EU countries. Punishment for wearing either the Burka or Niqab is $300 on the spot fine, or $30,000 and a 1 year jail sentence for husbands who force wives to wear either.
