Recently, I got to talking with a friend about importing Doujin for Sale at a convention. However, he mentioned that he heard from some people that Canada Customs was confiscating Doujin under the grounds that it was Child Pornography. (Found info about that here:

)
Anyways, my question is, how do you define Obscenity, because it is defined on Wikipedia as "An obscenity (in Latin obscenus, meaning "foul, repulsive, detestable") is that which offends the prevalent sexual morality of the time, is a profanity, or is otherwise taboo, indecent, abhorrent, or disgusting, or is especially inauspicious; ill-omened."
So, what the hell? Does this mean that Sexual Doujins are Obscene? What is judged as Obscene. Confused as hell here. Also discuss Obscenity laws and if they're fair or not.
For instance, in Canada, we can not have Child Porn (nor In most Countries), however, Child Pornography is defined as (Under Canadian Law):
(a) a photographic, film, video or other visual representation, whether or not it was made by electronic or mechanical means,
(i) that shows a person who is or is depicted as being under the age of eighteen years and is engaged in or is depicted as engaged in explicit sexual activity, or
(ii) the dominant characteristic of which is the depiction, for a sexual purpose, of a sexual organ or the anal region of a person under the age of eighteen years; or
(b) any written material or visual representation that advocates or counsels sexual activity with a person under the age of eighteen years that would be an offense under this Act.
(Anal Sex is forbidden under Canadian law until you are the age of 18, however the age of Consent, for Vaginal Intercourse, is 16)
More or less, I'm trying to decipher this: http://mypage.uniserve.ca/~lswong/laws.html
It's not being clear. It's telling me I'm not allowed to be in possession of something Obscene. Okay, give me an example. Is a doujin containing regular intercourse obscene? Is tentacle rape obscene? What will they define "obscene" at Canada Customs? Will they only confiscate it if it's Loli/They Think it's Child Porn, or what?
(Sorry for the rambling)
