Censoring Hentai

Hopefully I am in the right topic for this question, I apologize if I am not. Either way I had a question that was bugging me about hentai. I wanted to know why is hentai censored (if you know why porn from Japan is censored I would also like to know that)? I was thinking it could be legal reasons, but a lot of states and countries have their specific details on the same laws. For a community like Fakku where people reside from all over the globe that didn't feel right, even though I am most likely wrong. Then I see some of mangas under the tag of uncensored and wondered how they didn't have to have light saber genitals. Hopefully I am in the right place for my question and hopefully I can get an answer.

In japan there a old law from the meiji era that banned it on “injurious to public morals” were banned [thanks to the introduction of Victorian morals from the West]. Then we have the 1907 penal code, one of the six Codes that form the foundation of Japanese Law, the Penal Code of Japan(刑法 Keihō), was passed. included in this lengthy founding document, was Article 175, which states "people who sell or distribute obscene materials can be punished by fines or imprisonment". They worked it out to be the private parts.

H- manga being porn... applied to be in that law on censorship. Which in light of the laws in asia is minor since the other major counties ban all porn.( Koreas, China, and Singapore... Indonesia is law but no one cares too much i think.)

To the types of mosaic to light saber penises censors is based on the eromanga and where you can buy them i think. A 7-11 in Osaka had manga where they had all heavy edited cocks but the bookstore by the train station had more manga with lines and barely edited members.

Japanese censorship just gives me a headache.

I think Fakku is going in the right direction. Bring Hentai to America and uncensore the shit out of it. Hopefully one day we'll get to the point where we can import shit from Japan without any kind of censoring or altering of the content. Not just for porn but for games and movies as well. And I'm sure that'll give more Japs reasons to move here.

Quite, last time moral advocates opened their mouth about that subject, they banned Kirikou from showing in the US theatres because the women in the animated picture were bare breasted. Except that's cultural, its Africa, that's how they dressed in the epoch of the picture!
