i doubt that helps you stay anonymous, but it never hurts t have extra security, i've used it for as long as i can remember, and i've never had any run ins with my isp.

from all the stuff i have downloaded (movies,music,videos etc)not once have i had an letter, am i just lucky?

You wouldn't get letters for downloading property of a company which really needs the money. Ironically, the only ones that can voice their complains against downloading are the ones who still make more cash than any of us downloaders can dream of.
I try to help out by buying what I really like, but it's almost always try before buy.

i second that. it's the only reason I actually have a legal copy of assassin's creed and mass effect on my pc because i played it on my friends xbox and liked it enough to contribute.
But my copy of xp is stolen from my school, office stolen from work, and a ton of these no-name companies that want your 20 bucks for a product that you will only use a few times i stole.
