Also my opinion there is no God. And if there was once was then he is probably dead.
Futurama (new episode) made me think. It is the episode where the Professor tries to proof evolution but fails and moves to a new planet. The Futurama Team lands on a huge asteroid.
There the Professor puts cleaning bots into the dirty water to clean it. But something happens to the cleaning bots and "evolve" into new bots and they go on to evolve into dino bots and then cave bots, etc. Until they evolve into Well human Bots.
Then there the Professor Bot tries to proof evolution is what made them but the the Human Professor says no I made you I am the one who placed you here.
Yes I know it is a cartoon but, it really made me think about it. Because scientist know we evolved but they do not have the answer as in how we just Poof into life. So like I said If there was a "god" he is probably dead. And now we are on our own.
But here is another point. What are aliens??? Think about it. Maybe we are just an experiment... Well like I said before we will know once we die.

OK "What If" there would be a Nuclear war (book of eli) or Climate disaster (the Road) or just exaggerated 2012 and you survive in that catastrophic whatever... and you see a lot of saddness that hammersfall into earth.. who are you gonna call your mom or your dad?......

Well God plays a big part in my life so yes i do believe in God. Why? Well because I just know and i know that sounds ignorant and stupid but im fine with the label "stupid Christian" as long as Christian is in there i could care less what other people think. Some people need proof to believe but then what good is faith? Besides my evidence is The Bible and the proof is my life

I dont count those as Christians those are just people using God's name to do bad things like terrorist who use Allah's name to kill people

I believe there MIGHT be some sort of god, but statistically, it is better to believe in one than not. It's called Pascal's Wager. But for me, I'd say I don't believe in heaven right now, but hey, what can you do.

to me theres really not enough proof one way or the other to say whether theres a god or not. there have been quite a few people i've told that to who respond similar to "looking at nature as proof" and yes looking at their point a view i can understand but its not enough to fully convince me otherwise

Religion does have a basis because life exists. And believing in it because life had to come from somewhere is not as ridiculous as a concept as just suggesting something silly out of nowhere.
And unlike Religion, the teapot does not answer any question of WHY? like Religion does. It's just a nonsense suggestion that doesn't give an explanation to anything.

in all seriousness though as long as we accept one another for who we are, not what we believe in, is there really any reason to care? in my experience religion has almost no effect on how people behave. ive got friends who are avid christens who smoke weed, get drunk and party regularly, steal, mistreat there fellow man(including me their supposed friend), acted cruel towards animals, deface public property and a laundry list of other deed.
yet they still believe that because they go to church they are going to "heaven" and i (a agnostic decent person) am going to hell.
back to the question of a great beyond, i believe that if a great beyond exists, that i should get in based on the fact that i lived my life as a decent person, not the fact that i went to a place weekly to pray.
