100%. Left my tablet in the kitchen once and my dad and brother definitely saw my Tumblr alt account (back when they had porn). I cringe to this day knowing my dad knows. School friends know, uni friends I make jokes about it but make it so they know I'm not like that.

Yeah family no. I don't think there's really a need for them to know. As for friends yeah they know we'll even joke about it sometimes, but I'm pretty close with my friends so it may not be the same for everyone.

I'm zig-zagging a bit there, in general my family know I'm a bit of since they know I have a furry dakimakura and stuff. With friends, I usually test the water a bit not to weird them out to much. Funnily, one friend thought I was making a joke when I said: "Half of the stuff I'm into wouldn't even be survivable for women in real life."

Absolutely. With very close friends I don't mind being open, but otherwise? Most people are way too judgmental.

I used to keep things secret, i'm working on not being ashamed of them anymore. Granted i'm not going to go around shouting them, but I should be able to at least talk to my husband without being embarrassed. And it's been helpful to realize other people have the same perversions, kinks, however you want to put it, and that i'm not as weird as I thought, but will still be proud of my little freak flag.
