The baby wasn't so bad actually. He was good, didn't cry much at all, got fussy every once in a while. But he did wake me up in the middle of the night once.

some people dont realize in that situation abort may be best. protester: your killing your children. ABORTY: your right having them and becoming financially unstable struggling for food and losing our house is a much better idea.

I'd suggest making a new topic about abortion but having been in that debate a million times before I know it'll go on and on for about 5000+ pages. So it may not be a good idea.

I've learned at this point to just not worry about it. Dx I do what I want, everyone else does what they want, we all mind our beezwax and get on with our lives.

The way society is going now a days in America, I could see myself on TV.
Especially when seeing these fuckers on Dr. Phil - <.< If I ever acted like that at that age.. my mom would break all my teeth out. Do I find her abusive? No. Did she have order in the house? Yes.

My mother used to take a wooden spoon to my ass when I acted up. And even though I hated it I respect her a lot for teaching me to behave and have some manners.

Too many parents these days let their children get away with so much shit and spoil them and crap. I've seen the Nanny a few times too with kids like this. The parents never DO anything when their kids talk back to them.

Exactly. My mom used the same exact thing on me, and I have to say I turned out pretty damn good. It never really did work on my brother though, he'd laugh when she'd try and do it, but he got the message.

I remember when I was really little and still in elementary school - my friend 'double dog dared' me to take a small flower pot off of someones front porch and put it upside down over dog poop that was nearby. Being the little brat that I was, I did. My mom found out, made me get the flower pot and put the flower back in as best that I could (ew) and then personally knock on the neighbors door to apologize. To say the least I never did something like that again.

Yes. That's exactly what you have to do with children that act like that. Make them go and apologize. xD

I remember when I was about 5 years old there was something in a store that I really wanted but my mom wouldn't buy, so I stole it. Stuck it under my shirt and tried to hide it, but she saw what I was doing and made me show it to her.

Once she saw it and realized what I had done she took me back into that store and made me give it to the cashier and made me apologize.

Embarassament and humiliation are the best remedies for snotty little kids. xD

But then again, that's why I don't want any kids. Don't want to deal with a little snot like myself. lol

I also grew up around parents who believe hitting is a way of disciplining your child but I don't agree with it.

I think hitting in moderation is okay - if the child gets extremely out of hand then maybe he deserves to be hit. But I honestly think, it should never go to that. I've seen some parents who never hit their child and they always talk things out - they have a great bond with their parents. But children who grew up with their parents hitting them, usually don't grow up as attached to their parents [A few people I know and myself included].

I honestly can't wait until I get enough money to move away from my parents as far as possible. I really hate the way they disciplined me and the way their discipling my brother atm. I don't want my future children around that kind of mind-set that you have to put fear into your kids and hit them in order for them to do what you want them to do / respect you.

Damn I wish I could drop that kid right now. I used to get spanked too, and being brought up in asian way I was hit with bamboo sticks, and those things hurt like shit... and back then I hated them for it. Now I actually see it helped. I'm not saying spanking is a good thing, but sometimes it's just needed.

Parents let their kids go because society now makes it hard for them to. Some kid could decide to get smart and call the child abuse center just for spanking now.

My brother tried doing that with my mom, and she pulled a Bill Cosby quote She said go ahead and do it "I brought you into this world, I can take you out too" he didn't think she'd tell him to do it lol she even handed him the phone.

My brother threatened to do that to my mom once when she gave him a spanking. "You know! I could call the police on you and get you into trouble for spanking me!"

And she looked at him right in the eyes and said, "Go ahead and do it. But you know what will happen? They'll stick you in a home with a bunch of people you don't even know and you'll NEVER see me EVER AGAIN."

rofl That freaked him out so bad and he never threatened to do that again. xD
