E-Books vs Printed Materials

Well an E-reader is better than 1000+ books, its lighter and doesnt take much space.

I don't really have a preference, both have their strengths and weaknesses. However, I will say that if more people take up e-books over printed, then it'll spare some trees.

I would prefer an E-book. I foresee that it would become cheaper, more content can be stored with much less space, and (copyright aside) the contents of the book can be more easily replicated and preserved and it will much cheaper and efficient to produce books. E-books may be a niche product, but I anticipate it becoming more prevalent. Or even if that is not case, books will most likely be written and presented in digital form.

I personally wish that I can have a database of newspapers and books. However, having a library of those take too much space. Of course, if I had a favourite book I would like it hardcopy. But not all books are to my liking. And if it were the case, I would have them in digital form or in an E-book.

I am not entirely sure if I can print an E-book (i.e. print out the contents of an E-book), but if this were the case, I could have the best of both worlds, with print and digital material on hand.

Long short story, the digital medium is really convenient.

I prefer the printed materials!
I've been a bookworm ever since I was a kid. I do like the idea of Ebooks but to me I dunno, plus I really like the smell of books!

Printed media.. just because i look at a screen all day long. Paper comforts me.

For people that don't buy a lot of books printed material makes more sense and there is no need for electricity so you would never have a power problem.

Plus couldn't we just use our computers to read the books on instead of buying a separate devise for it.

Actually I still prefer books as well I like the feel of the paper and The whole eye straining stuff.

I like the feel of paper, but I can't deny that e-readers are a lot more comfortable to travel with and read leisurely. That, combined with the fact you can find a lot of books online, made me buy a Nook Simple Touch.

It's a matter of personal preferences, reading the something on paper will never be the same as reading it on the computer. However machines such as IPad, laptops, tablets and other suited computers have made books much easier to compile, organize, and pirate. It all goes down to personal preferences. This is one of those questions with no right answer. As far as the industry is concerned I don't think it's going to end. Just as Movie Theaters with DVDs and online streaming, it's an experience, plus it can be cheap.
