Equality Does it exists ? Well the Gap ever disperse ?

Well it isn't even in genetics or money its also in race, gender, religion, sexuality, and fuck even in what you do in your free time. Inequality will always exist no matter what. It is just human nature. If you add robotic augmentations you will just have even more. We exist in a world where no matter what you try to do someone will judge you. I have been accused of being a devil worshipper, I have been accused of being a druggie, I have also been accused of being a racist. In this world the gap will never disappear, and this fact alone saddens me.

It also exists in films, movies and your fantasies!

I seriously doubt it. Discrimination has been a part of humanity since the dawn of time. From man > woman, from white > black, Asian dicks are small, Mexicans are laborers, Arabs smell bad, Muslims are terrorist, Christians are hateful towards other who do not believe in their god, etc.. (forgive my racism, sexism, and hate)

Yes. we are all human, we all live in the same planet, but we are divided and can never be united, will time tell? will the future change it's course? we may never know, but this I know, Equality was never complete since the stone age and never were today, will it make a difference in the future?

So there are still people confusing human variations with inequality ? Duh ! In the same time, that implies those same "fellows" does not even accept others to be be different -- from themselves, from their "ideal"/fantasy/whatever, from how they perceive the world, etc.

How does they look at Stephen Hawkin for example ??? But meh (I don't care)... I imagine a lack of (philosophical ? Scientist ? both ?) education(s) might end-up with narrow mindset and simplistic/incomplete analysis & "ideas"...

I'm not talking about Equity/Equality, which is a related yet different problem.

I'm talking about the other aspect of Equality -- and Individuality (human/individual varations), then also the "way"/mindset with which some would pretend to "classify" people. Moreover people keep changing over the life.

That's why :

Is everyone born with the same opportunities, same willpower, same resources? Absolutely not, so no equality does not exist and frankly never will.

A saw a lot of you were mentioning how people overcame the circumstance that they were born in to get the equality they wanted, but why did they have a longer and harder path to begin with? They simply had ambition and willpower to get something they should have had from the start.

Since everyone starts at different points on the "gameboard," there is no equality.

The thing about equality is that it is a man made concept. Money gives power to those who have it within the bounds of context. Outside of context money becomes useless and loses all its power. Since context is important to those in power the only way to make the higher class equal to the lower class is to take away their means of power, the concept that monetary value actually has value. I think that everyone is equal already, our worth is not how much we make per cheque.

So you think the world would be better off without money? How would the world function without money?

Not when you have the right to be different ^^ Being different fortunately means variety, and should you know the Life phenomenom a bit more on a scientist scale, variety is a chance -- it might be bad, it might be good, all depends on the ever-changing context. Genetics teach us that those "strengths" and "weaknesses" are rather the two faces of a same coin. Moreover, the more variety inside a population, the more resilient is said population.



But I guess it might not serve well the argumentation of those claiming blood "purity" of their ancestry, or "race" "superiority" and such.



As for resources, it indeed is a whole yet related problem : inequity regarding resources access. Leading to inequality in access. Indeed.

I have no idea how the world would function without money. It may be similar to a time when bartering was used. I also believe that if given the opportunity a person would use that system to their advantage and we would be back at square one. The world wouldn't be better or worse without money. Money bothy hinders people and it is also a gateway to doing many things in life. Because money is such a big part of our current system there will always be someone to be corrupted by it. Our current system doesn't allow the poor to suddenly have abundant resources (unless they get really lucky). If a credit system were to be implemented where each individual had an equal amount of credits allotted to them then there would be a chance for a form of equality. In such a system people would be more free to do as they pleased and we may even see a much happier society where nobody feels prejudice against another because they had a lot more chances to become successful. I'm sure there are also downsides to a credit system and some people would take advantage of credits to make themselves "superior".

We would most likely not go back to bartering(unless money got ridiculously worthless and there was no alternative). Money evolved from bartering because it was easier to trade things with money than to barter. Money itself right now is worthless without your government mandating that it has worth but that's only a recent occurrence in the history of money. Throughout most of its history money was something that had value on its own as well, for instance gold and silver, or in earlier times butter. As for your credits idea that's essentially communism, and communism hasn't worked all that well when its been tried.

An economy is the distribution of scarce resources that have alternative uses. It doesn't matter what form of economy you try whether its capitalism, communism, feudalism, tribalism, or whatever. All forms of economy must do this. Doesn't even matter if you use money or not we could all just give things away but we would still have to find a way to distribute all the resources. Its all nice and fine to say that we should distribute them equally but how do you go about that? Also different amounts of resources are used in different things. We don't have the capability to give everybody everything so how do you distribute equally in such a situation?
