Im not much of a topic creator but im not sure how many people know about this. I believe that awareness should be spread about Yes to Freedom. I assume people here know about the Rapelay craze that went around right? it got kicked off amazon and all that good stuff. but soon after a women's right group called Equality now reared their ugly heads and decided to bite the head off of the japanese anime/manga community. they are moving to destroy the hentai industry and also ban all depiction of underage girls in manga and anime. its done things like make good VN novel makers try to bar foreigners from their sites. (Nitro+ excluded apparantly). People should go to the Yes To Freedom Website.

Look at it this way; most of the Fakkuzites, as well as probably millions of indulgers of internet porn are in the same boat as us, there are alone thousands of Fakku users, and hey, there's even a Fakku facebook group. I think that alone [ALONE] the less extreme hentai stuff (and by extreme I mean genuine loli, guro, really destructive rape) isn't really prosecutable, same with text stories (check-out ASSTR for example). The only instances where it's been used where it was in conjunction with real CP or other such illegal materials (IIRC). So I'm not that worried. I've never touched or seen real CP, and stopped DL'ing unverified torrents a long time ago,I think myself safe.
As for the 3D stuff, well, can you differentiate? Is it still clearly computer-generated/hand drawn? The 'most realistic' 3D hentai I've seen looked like really-well painted figures; still clearly fake.

Not just the religious right are Authoritarian. The left have some of their own Authoritarians (and even Facists) running around trying to ban this or that because it's bad for society or just a pet peeve of theirs. At this rate we'll all live in plastic bubbles (except for the people who are allergic to plastic). Wait, scratch that, plastic requires petroleum which kills the planet so that's out. Lemme get back to ya on that.
All of this is simply people overrating while looking for a clear scapegoat and not finding one. The legit fear that someone may harm their child has grown into an outright paranoia that some faceless boogieman will snatch their child away at any moment. This phobia has grown so wild that people can't even take pictures of their children in public (and sometimes not even in private) without cops being called and somebody being called a pervert or worse in public.
Sex offenders are the modern day leper except even being accused makes you one now.
