Recently, I've been watching videos online about great moments in politics, and then I wondered "Is there a best moments in politics thread on FAKKU?". I had a brief look around and didn't see any, so here this is.
Your favourite moments can be serious or funny, from whatever country you want and about whatever you like.
Here's my personal favourite, Conservative Leader David Cameron berating Gordon Brown; which was a very common occurrence!
This is not Serious Discussion material and you would be advised to read up on the rules before posting in each sections. Most will have the stipulations for threads that belong there and which ones don't. The other ones you can just use common sense.

Reported to be moved.
[font=Verdana][color=green]I apologise for the mishap. I, for the most part, am well aware of the rules. However, the insinuation that I DON'T have common sense grates me slightly.

I made no insinuation of the sort. You are reading too much into it.
You should work on not jumping to conclusions so fast.
avoid arguing with kalistean, he isn't someone to be taken seriously. This is fairly serious so I'm going to move it here, but another mod may move it back due to having a video.
[font=Verdana][color=green]In all honesty, the sub-forum of where this shall go has created more discussion than what I had intended. It's already been moved twice! XD If need be, I'll delete the video.
I'm sorry if I jumped to conclusions. I merely feel that you didn't need to post to say you've reported it to move - it individualises me as having made a mistake.
However, enough of that. In terms of current politics, I am very eagerly watching the students fee rise bill. In fact, it recently went through the House of Lords. Just waiting for Royal Assent now.

This is why I love British Politics.
Ahhh yes British politics, it's similar in Australia.
It's like watching monkeys throw poo at each other and sometimes something interesting comes out of it.
Here's some lulz from Australian Politics:
And we wonder why nothing gets done in our country...
I loved it when Sarah Palin said we should help our allies in "North" Korea. I also liked the video of when President Bush got a shoe thrown at him. In that culture it is the ultimate disrespect to be shown the bottom of someones shoe/foot.
The Frost/Nixon interviews, by a country mile. There are great gaffes on a monthly basis, such is the nature of politics, but the Watergate segment has to be the best political broadcast ever shot.
[font=Verdana][color=green]Another great moment in politics I thought of was during the Falklands War. During Peace Plans, the current Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher decided to sink an Argentinian ship which was in a specified "no go" area. This, in her opinion, was necessary in order to protect our ships and soldiers.
However, she was famously disagreed with by a Mrs Diana Gould. She believed that, due to the ship travelling AWAY from the British fleet, it wasn't a threat. This was a situation where they "agreed to disagree".
This matter was to be solved many years later. The Argentinian admiral confirmed that it was an aggressive assault, with the plans to draw the British Fleet out in order to flank them. Despite this knowledge, Mrs Gould still stands by what she said.
The reason that I like this political event is because it demonstrated the public's annoying trait of favouring the enemy forces, rather than thinking about our own. If we hadn't attacked, and their plan did succeed, you could sure as hell bet that many people would've complained that no attack was called.
You know that time when Julian Assange released the American government's secrets and they went apeshit of it? Some tried to call him a terrorist, others actually had the thought cross their minds that he was being treasonous (as if he's a fucking american), and at the same time the government has been furiously thumbing through law books trying to find anything they can use to prosecute this motherfucker. Best! Show! Ever!
