On my last day as a life guard (didnt get fired pool closed for school) the children were talking about some friends of theirs who ran from a fight. Apparently the oldest got a beating from the parents and the youngest got yelled and cursed at. I dont know specific ages but neither of these children were older than 13. Also you should know that the kids involved were poor black hood children. Personnally i feel that the parents were wrong for punishing the kids for running. My parents actually frowned upon fighting, and I was always to smooth to ever be confronted except ounce....DISCUSS!!!
Sometimes you just gotta know when to run, but it's entirely situational. If there's no chance of escape etc. and you KNOW it's going to go down, might as well get your punches in, because there's nothing worse than just standing around like a practice dummy.
As Kalistean has mentioned. It depends on the situation. Ive been struck before, but not once did I decide to hit back. Reason: The kid showed fear and doubt. Plus i knew that if I went at it, chances are, Id be arrested. Situation dictates.
personally I've avoided all conflict with my personality so far >.>
if I ever have to fight I'm screwed bad, so I at least want to be very far away with a sniper rifle so I can still run away T.T
I try to avoid fighting as much as I can, that don't mean that i just flee or something, I stand my position trying to get the pacifist way of solving them.
but actually I'm really strong and know a few way of breaking arms or hurting vital points.
don't get me wrong, I'm a pacifist, but deeply in the inside i'm a sadistic son of a bitch. i can't wait to break someone's arm, but it has to be someone who reeeaaaaaaaaaaally deserves it.
Depends. In my mind, my ego always goes out of control and I'm always thinking "I'm going to beat the crap out of this guy". I've never really been in a flight or fight situation, but I'm probably going to go with fight.
