So Gringrich is using others' talents to insult them?
Hey, whatever works, half of America consists of rednecks and idiots. All you need is half and a bit more to become president.
Here's something funny: they'll slow down the low-ball, "OMG HE'S A FOREIGNER"-type attacks once the General Election stage is reached; then, they're no longer appealing to the half-idiots of America, but to the electors, who are only about one-third idiots.
True. Also, what many people don't understand is that it is not the popular vote that elects presidents, but rather the electoral college.
SeveralTwo of our nations leaders have lost the majority vote but still gained the presidency, because they won the election in states that had more electoral votes than their competitors. This is why you see candidates spending more time in certain states and almost nothing in others. In the past, when technology did not allow for quick-time, accurate vote tabulation, the electoral college may have served a purpose in managing the election process, but now I think it may be time to re-think this procedure.
We have direct election of Senators, and they're essentially more powerful because 2/3 majority in the Senate beats paper, rock, AND Executive Order.
But this is extremely off-topic.
