You don't need nerve of steel. if you still need'em, you're not ready to admit that you like hentai, and you feel insecure for liking hentai. If they sell hentai in that store, then they hope you'll buy them.
Just ignore other customers (except the other customers is you're family or friends that you really don't want them to know.) They will never experience the pleasure and joy of watching other than porn.
I sometimes consider porn movies to be mindless non imaginative things, and H-anime is full of imaginations and the complexity that is needed to make a decent film.

we (or maybe just me) live in community that like Porn than Hentai (well, not me :lol: ). a certain environment create a certain stereotype, and accidentally in my case, that people didn't like Hentai, so Hentai-lover often considered "weird".
people in my place can get to the store say "is there any porn? buy 2 please" without any feel of shame, but when it comes to hentai, well...
i'm not judging or try to offend people in this forum, why because i like hentai too. what i want to ask is:
for people that live at similiar community with me, where people had no addiction to manga / anime / hentai, do you think that you against the mainstream? and what you do until now, to express what you like, for example?

The only paladin not allowed to have sex is one affiliated with christianity and some of the other religions which forbid the priests from having sex, some of the smarter religions don't care. Which is why, when I play a paladin, I play one of the Norse variety, those guys are all about the wild parties getting drunk and/or laid, as well as being trained to handle combat(and that is just normal members of those churches) the only thing they ask you to do is worship whatever god, pay the occasional tribute and live by the rules of that god which generally are: Be nice, be strong, be happy, help those in need, and contribute to society in a good way.

Where there is demand, there will be supply. Many companies these days are catering to niche markets too.
I don't think hentai can be considered mainstream in most places on our planet, but the fact that it exists (and perhaps growing) would mean that there is a significant portion of the world population interested in this genre of adult-related media.
