I'd choose extended, at some point in time life will wear on you and you'd like to rest. Living another 100-500 years would be just fine to see where technology brings us.
I've always been incredibly jealous of babies and children. Because they get to see things I might not live to see. Sometimes on Discovery Channel there's a show in which they let you peak at the latest technology and possible building projects in the future and at the end of the show they tell it will probably be realized in 20-30 years from now. This always makes me think about how old I will be at that point and sigh.
I want to experience these things while I'm still young and fresh, but I know I never will. It really pains me and thus makes me jealous on those who will experience all that greatness in their teens while I will be 40-60+ or even older.
So yes, an extended life would be wonderful.
