Humanities transition to a type 1 civilization

Aren't a lot of wars in the guise of their god just to justify the war and empower their people.

And remember all I'm trying to say is people are selfish they aren't going to want to be equal to every one else never mind countries being fair with each other families are selfish among one an other fighting over their inheritance and there's always some one wanting a bigger slice.

Indeed, people are selfish. And its true that some wars have been fought under the pretext of religion, while having monetary or economic objectives all along.

I skimmed the article. From what I understand the discussion is about the transformation from a tier 0 to tier 1 civilization.

It is inevitable that human civilization will reach the tier 1 category and it is inevitable that "leveling-up" will continue.

Because humans will always choose survival. For survival to ensue, no matter the length, cooperation is necessary. That is why we will not kill each other to extinction.

It's difficult for people to read walls of text so I've tried to be concise.

But I must point out the only flaw I see in your text.

Did we choose survival when WWI came along? WW2? There were millions of casualties. And that was conventional weapons.

Now imagine a country, oh lets say, North Korea, gets Nuclear Power. What to do what to do?

Humans will always choose survival...for themselves. We don't nuke everybody else while hoping the other side didn't launch because they "want the human race to survive".

Russia and America played that game for a while, pointing missiles at each other, having automated response protocols. We were lucky.

We don't"choose survival", we "survive" in that we care for ourselves, us the individual.

But I get your point, we will try at least, we will make an effort. Some of us.

I personally believe than we can transition to a higher tier, but not for a good long time. Certainly not within my lifetime I'm sure. If everything goes well, there isn't any nuking or aliens, then I'd give us about another 150 years, which in reality is a very short time. It's just about 3 people's full lives. Just a blink within the cosmic universe. People need to learn to pull their heads out of their asses and stow their guns. I kind of view "countries" as something that needs to crumble. This division of countries, religion, and people has to go so that we could "unite". Sort of how we would unite as if we were invaded by aliens and had to fight them off. The closest we are to this state that I personally consider ideal is the United Nations.

So far, we have become the world today because we have learned from our past experiences. Like when we are children. When we touch the hot pan and burn ourselves, we learn to not do it again. Or how we first fell when learning to walk. World War 1; Flawed alliance system, and old resentments boiling up. To remedy that the League of Nations was started, although it was ineffectual. World War 2; Allowed Appeasement and brutally punished Germany. It took two world wars for us to learn to talk things out. Cold War; Soviet Union is afraid of Germany due to being invaded twice within 30 years and the United States saying that it cannot allow any form of appeasement. The question is what happens, and what mistake do we learn from next? Obviously anything nuclear would destroy humanity and set us back hundreds of years. We need to as a planet look farther into the future. Always think of how xxxx will effect the next generation.

People need to truly think before they speak. They have to think "Hmm...is it really worth the time to have such an obvious minor argument? No. It's not. I'll forget about this thing within a few days. I am better than person xxxx."

Religion is easily the most one of the most dominating factors in my opinion. Religion shapes a persons morality as does their upbringing in a rich neighborhood or a poor neighborhood does. I personally see all religion the same, just slightly different caused by cultural and societal differences. Now, I'm not trying to offend anyone, but to me, God and Allah are the same. They are only different because of the language and culture they started in. History is never perfectly accurate. I personally hate and respect religion because it allows for the community to gather together and get along, but there is, and will always be some radical that has to take things to far and force their version down onto others. "That car is not green." The scientist proves them wrong and they still go "No, it's not green, and you are a heretic who must die now." All because of a little disagreement. Then someone gets revenge for killing the scientist which then causes a whole string of revenges and then to war.

The thing is, humans can't escape their original natures. War is in our nature due to plain to survival as cavemen, just like sex. We found out we were better than others when the first caveman found out he could crack open his smaller caveman buddy's head with a well placed rock. We can however try to hold down the ugly parts of our nature though. As long as we can see the line between good and ugly, acknowledge that it is there rather than shun it and deny its existance, we can go on towards the edge, and stare it straight in the eye. Shun it, and you'll fall into the trap you were trying to avoid.
