That sounds like one of those things that people say but isn't actually true. Even if it is true, I'm sure it would make sense. Like, the person is from a different country and can't read English but can speak it and is a genius, or something. Or is blind.

Yes there was a few degrees of separation but, it ties in with the thing The_Jesus and I were talking about. That those at the top don't want people who are critical thinkers. They want obedient little works who tolerate shittier jobs, longer hours, less pay. Which leads into the comic I posted.

By lowering the standards those in power can maintain their power. Until a critical thinker comes in throws a hammer at the screen and sets forth revolution (bitches!)

I agree with this, though. When I was in middle school, the minimum pass grade was an 80. When I went on to high school, and it was the...third best, I think? in the state, and my min pass grade dropped to 65, I think I spent a week questioning the teachers why they had made room "For all the retards" in the school.
