Moving away, what was it like?

Hello Fakku-ers. I recently made a change in my life when I moved into a new house with two buddies of mine. I figured I would come here to my favorite website and as you fine people if you moved out and way from your parents and how you dealt with it.

Now I did move away, but not very far, its about 2 blocks away. I rented my mothers second house and have only been living here for about two months. And even though that is really not moving away, I don't live with my family anymore and I still get the problems people get from moving away. There was a time where I was by myself in the house and got extremely lonely, and even though I live with two roommates, they are not home all the time and I still feel that weird "alone" feeling.

So I wanted to ask. Have you moved away? Did you have problems when you did it? How did it feel moving away from the people you lived with for years and how did you deal with the emotions that come with moving away?

I've been living alone for 14yrs. Keep yourself busy, I collect anime and figurines. Watch TV, play video games, read a book. Don't dwell on it, you'll have plenty of time to do that when you're in jail. (heh, heh) Oh yeah, come here to FAKKU there is always something going on here. Good luck, hope this helps.

[size=12] Well, lots of things happen at once as you already know. For me, moving away was for the better. An Asian in the countryside isn't the greatest thing ever. Also the fact that all you have are pity friends that you wish you could just push away to just be alone. A slightly abusive mother and a sister that AT THE TIME was my best frenemy.

Its soo much better to be with my dad. But still, the fact you can just get away from it all and start a clean slate is a wonderful if not rejuvenating feeling. Its almost like being born again. I was absolutely happy and satisfied with the fact that I moved away and have not regretted it for a single Planck second. 5.39x10^-44.

Anyway I went on to make several real friends and now I'm trying to condition myself for the USAF. Even though I had a rough and more accurately shitty childhood I for sure will have a wonderful life as an adult.

So moving away was the best thing that happened in my life EVER.[/h]

I'm not going to go into detail but moving away is a hit-or-miss. Definitely recommend the next person who plans to move, move to a place where you know you can connect/relate to the community and area. I moved from the city to the countryside and always pondered if it was better to stay. Although I feel regret of doing so, moving out has been one of the biggest changes in my life for the better since it changed my view of the world.
