my professor told us something. "We[older citizens] need you, Americas' pride to help us out in the future.
The reason I am teaching you all in this very classroom is because I wish to help you learn to become successful for the future. You need to know what is it that you are doing or at least capable of doing."

this got me thinking of the next generation or even mines(ours)
what are we going to do? recession is kicking ass everywhere and shit.
global warmer? all that other shit too.

Global warming, recession, and whatnot, our biggest problem now which will carry onto the future generations is the lack of morals, ethics, and discipline. Kids are way too spoiled, work ethic is like nonexistent, and you got emo kids on the loose. All those other problems are naturally existing phenomena (sp?) that we can't do much but to ride it through and enact piss-poor solutions that barely makes a dent in such problems. I remember the times when I talked back to my parents, I got whacked and spanked good. Parents are too soft nowadays I believe, not that that's bad, but it's not good enough. Anyone remember Tom Sawyer by Mark Twain? That kid got punished every fucking day till he got rich.

I've been holding out for a dystopian post-apocalyptic sort of thing. you know the kind of situation where everything gets so fucked that people are essentially forced to start reliving like cave men after the governments collapse in upon each other. I look forward to seeing how these newly primitive scavengers use current technology to eke out their meager existance.

Me personally I have a plan for such a future. I'm going to establish and rule a sort of farming commune, so we don't have to be dependent on outside influences and resources. maybe some kinda' Waco thing but without the creepy cult aspect.

well in a sense he's right: before when people acted as sheep morality was much more common, at least in the open; I'm sure things were just as bad in behind closed doors. I do prefer the society the way it is; and although I am a Christian I do believe you should have the freedom of religion. I do wish morals were more important in the world we live but I don't feel religion is the best way to go about regaining these morals: to be honest I don't know what the best way is.
