Objectification

definition says
"to present as an object, especially of sight, touch, or other physical sense; make objective; externalize"
Basically to strip someone of any regards to human rights, feelings, emotions and viewing someone as not human but a item for personal gain that being said both men and women can be objectified with women as stereotypically known to be of use for nothing more then as either a living sex toy or a sandwich maker(at least according to sitcoms and some trolling jackasses just trying to attack others using an old stereotype).

For men it can take a different term from where I was raised and what I was exposed to men where nothing more then soldiers or less you where raised to fight kill and eventually die sometimes for stupid reasons or things you don't even belive in being treated as basically a living weapon to be used then thrown away once broken(dead).

Now keep in mind both these scenarios can happen to both genders, I'v known more then enough women that had dealings with contract killers and there are plenty of male prostitutes/male strippers (don't know any just seen movie stereotypes and heard rumors of Europe).

QUESTION: which do you honestly think is worse and how do would you deal with being treated as either?

Living sex toy, for sure. That's my vote.

Being a prostitute/hooker/whatever other terms there are that pertain to such a "profession", is usually never a choice. Those who market themselves as such are usually forced to resort to it because their lives have taken a heavy toll and they've hit rock bottom. They feel as though they have nothing left. Who knows though, maybe that's really what some people want to do with their lives. It's kind of unsettling, the thought that someone would voluntarily involve themselves with that, but it's probably happened.

Alternately, sexual slavery does exist and that is NOT a choice. I've heard a plethora of abhorrent things that occur within that "trade". Overall it's just awful- for obvious reasons.

Being a "weapon" (like a soldier) is mostly a choice. Well, speaking from the viewpoint of an American citizen it's a choice. The draft hasn't happened for quite some time now and I doubt that it will ever happen again. But if it did, I suppose I would accept my duty as a defender of my country.

Something patriotic like that.

I can see the world having living weapons here in the near future. That being said, I watch to much anime. And a living sex toy, like a sex slave? or a robotic you have sexual intercourse with. As long as the other is willing. I find nether wrong in anyway, and not "Fucked up"

Something I just want to clarify to you, yes, many women put into prostitution are forced into it, but many others take the work because they either enjoy it, or it's just good work.

And as for the soldiers, I suppose you haven't heard of or forgot the children in Africa who are kidnapped and brainwashed, turned into soldiers at a very young age.

OT: I'm gonna have to with living weapon. Being used for pleasure is fucked up, but I don't think it's worse than being trained to just die in combat. Granted, that difference is marginal.

the type of soldier your talking about is voluntary and often times people who volunteer for the military or other stuff are viewed as Heros or extremely brave I'm talking about being basically raised into combat trained for it then being treated as nothing more then a weapon with no regard for rights or opinion being treated as not human at all

also note the draft made exceptions via certain groups religion or some pacifist group I forgot the name of they didn't take everyone who matched the criteria of physically fit and combat able based on that alone.

forgive me for not properly explaining what I mean I'm talking of child soldiers (mostly there are other more complicated situations) basically being forced to forget all basic gentler natures then having it replaced with raw strength heavy combat training, given a gun and told to follow orders kill fast or die (and sometimes to stick to following those orders even if they get you killed and if you refused your killed anyway being accused of treason)

this is forced against the persons will in neither of these are they willing not saying that doesn't happen but I'm just saying the examples I'm saying they didn't have a choice and never will
