Hence if something goes wrong then they die ( because of the implants) and also they can't breastfeed their children (which might have adverse effects on them :S) result? Less small breasted women....

So yeah. Boobs are getting statistically bigger, because their appearance suggests how many children and how well a woman can feed. Simples really.

I don't see how that connects to physical evolution. Sounds more like a culture/society viewpoint change than actual evolution.

In the case of people living in say 100 bc to say 1000ad then jump from that point to now, humans did evolve pass the concepts of early man to a more intellectual man, in the concept of math, science, ethics and art. Is it a partal evolution because we didn't change the physical, but mentally.

Nah, we did change physically as well. While Behavior is not necessarily something that is passed on physically, there are certain physical traits that make said behavior much more likely.

So people with traits that were likely to create the behavior did adapt, and pass on their genes. So there is a physical aspect to it.

Our knowledge of physical causes and the material universal has the capacity for increasing. It's not possible to know if there's a limit. We can only be sure about what we know, not what we don't know.

I do think all the really big questions like "What is the meaning of life" will never get answered though. Basically anything to do with first causes will never have an definitive, objective answer.

I'm guessing that our limitations are just another anomaly waiting to be discovered and understood.

To say that humans have an intellectual limit is an inaccurate term. Humans as individuals have an unmistakable limit to what can be learned before old memories are forgotten. Humanity as a whole, however, cannot stop learning. Humanity is always in a continuous cycle of learning something new. We'll discover and understand extraterrestrial life, we'll create new methods of transportation, make new music from new instruments.

As long as anyone has an imagination, humanity will continue to discover and learn. Humanity has no limit to our curiosity.

The intellectual boundaries is this we are not capable of knowing everything. Perhaps one day we will be able to transcend the space and time. But if you notice as we move forward, we forget more and more of our past. Who here know exactly how the D-day battle went? and I mean in strategic detail and course of event.

I'm not talking about personal intellect but intellect as a human species.

Reading through this thread, i believe the two best points of interest brought up are that of intellect through AI beyond our physical capabilities and Sprite's which makes a good point for us humans being physically adept intellectually.

We humans are bounded by logic thinking mindset, our understanding of the world, our brain capacity and our own belief. (especially science which are so convincing to be truth that we totally submit ourselves to believe the rules and laws make the world work. But in fact, there can be no proof on whether there is the case or not since we, as human beings, cannot disprove what we are not aware of)
and other factors like time and unable to directly pass on the knowledge and also emotions

Even if God (if he really exist) comes down and explain to us how everything works, there is a very high chance that we won't be able to understand any of it because of all these limitations we have.


The boundary is one of our limitation as humans, once it is passed, one can say he is no longer a human.
So for my understanding, no, not as a human being but achieved by some other ways such as the AI. But IF the AI is so smart, I really don't think it will create a better AI than itself.

I think we do have an intellectual barrier. There is only so much we can learn (in an entire year of learning, our bodies' brains are only capable of retaining information that is roughly less than 25% of a gigabyte). There is a reason why we have to work in order to properly retain information at a higher difficulty and degree of usage than lower levels.

The only way to push our boundaries is artificially, through, naturally, technology.

I say it doesn't matter what our boundaries are. Humans are a race that constantly wants to outdo each other. If our boundaries are a certain point, than our will to evolve will one day make us exceed that boundary
