People Who Inspired You

I was watching a documentary about Abraham Lincoln, and they said he inspires many Americans to be tolerant and understanding. So as I was watching TTGL, and saw how Simon got so much of his inspiration, and will to keep going all from his brother. This led me to think of who I had always considered an inspiration that I looked up to as a kid. Many popular names came up like FDR, George Washington, Julius Caesar, Winston Churchill, but none stood out as much as one Alexander the Great. He is the only person I have ever thought of as a true inspiration to be better. By the age of 33 he had conquered “the know world”, and is thought to be undefeated. Though what he conquered was only a small portion of the world, it still it had a great impact on me as a kid. Someone who learned from Aristotle and was innovative and strict in command; when I think about what I would really like to do with my life, I always think of conquering it and bringing it together like Alexander did. If I had to pick one figure in all of history that truly had a deep meaningful impact on my life it would be Alexander of Macedon. He has inspired me to go out and do things that I never would have done without his legacy to inspire me. So I thought who were some people who inspire the men and women here on Fakku? Who do you look up to for inspiration, and why did that person inspire you so much?

My parents, they never made me do anything and said that whatever I wanted to do they would back me up. It was my Dad's idea to try teaching abroad (as a teaching assitant) and to be honest I now want to become a teacher. After all what more can we aspire to be then a figure who tries every day to teach, support and inspire kids to be all that they can be :)
