Question of curiosity.

I was sitting in my room bored when I was looking at my dvds. I came around thinking in the distant future, some odd years from now. Would dvds be obsolete? You know the way we download files now and everything. It was a very interesting question. So would you think it they would become obsolete? Discuss.
