In an attempt to bring this discussion to something actually meaningful, let us discuss the history of Zionism as a political movement.
Yes, a political movement of a minority(but heavily influential) Jewish political minds within the Jewish political sect. First, we have to go back to the late 18th century when this movement first appeared in America.
And in general throughout Europe
Subjugation, violence, coercion, black mail. The Zionist ideal spent no expenditure and left no stone unturned in the quest for its own state, even if that state violated the premise of others.
The subjugation of the Western States by this powerful minority was far too obvious
And so, we are left with the situation we have today. Using historic political perseuction as a shield, the Zionist movement of the Jewish People(which has only grown larger and larger) continues to violate any reasonable sense of what the INTL. Community is.
We're also left with an identity crisis: No one here, whether on the left or right would concede to religious subjugation of Palestine(Well, there are many here in America who are Christians who've fell for the lie that Christianity should support "Israel" and thereby the movement, as ordained by the "bible")
Not only doesn't that make sense from a logical standpoint, it also doesn't make sense from a factual one:
Historically, the Jewish as a whole are hostile to Western religious, spiritual or moral ideals.
At the same time, the political clout afforded to the Zionist movement makes appropriating justice impossible. We cannot return Palestine to the Palestinians, if we did so, they would invoke the "holocaust" and a violation of their rights. Neverminding that they violated the rights of the Arabs.
In short, we're stuck between a rock and a hard place. Our best and only solution is neutrality from Israel, but even then with AIPAC and other such organizations, I'll state this about neutrality and about Israel:
-Should America, ever gain the political will(or even that of the Western World were to gain political will) to declare neutrality from Israel, what will clearly follow is a declaration of war from Israel against the United(and thereby other Western) States.
We'll have to face this problem sooner or later, it's an alliance made out of hell that doesn't serve our interests.
