Moe (èŒãˆ?, /mo.e/, pronounced "mo-eh" literally "budding", as with a plant) is a Japanese slang word originally referring to fetish or love for characters in video games or anime and manga. For example, 眼é¡ã£å¨˜èŒãˆ, meganekko-moe, "glasses-girl moe", describes a person who is attracted to fictional characters with eyeglasses. "Moe!" is also used within anime fandom as an interjection referring to a character the speaker considers to be a moekko. It is even used in some anime, such as Ouran High School Host Club, Lucky Star, Kaichou-wa Maid-sama!, K-ON, and The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya. There are various interpretations of what moe is today. While some argue that moe is a pure, protective feeling towards a character[1], popular use denotes moe as an adjective used to describe any features of a character that particularly "turn on" the person, sexually or otherwise.[2] The expanded use of the word has led to it being used to describe anything "hyper-cute" as well, such as the genre of anime-inspired music unique to Akihabara. - wiki
now that you know about it, it's also important for you to know the
elements of moe.. I'll explain shortly about them..
1. Tsundere
Which is the most popular element of moe.. Tsundere is the short term of Tsuntsunderedere, where tsuntsun means to act cold to others, and deredere means to act kind and sweet to others. This type of characters usually gone all cold at first, but as the story goes, they'll become sweet and cute.
There are a lot examples of this type, but I'll name Louise De La Valiere (Zero no Tsukaima) as the prime example.
2, Yandere
Which is originated from the wordplay "yanderu" (bad nature). This type of characters usually acts normally, but when their love reached the point of "obsessive" level, they'll become crazy/sick/mad/that kind of things, and they can even kill the others..
Example : Kaede Fuyou
3. Kuudere

From the word "danmari" (quiet) and deredere.. They usually quiet, but will become deredere when they're being left together with only her lover..

The most controversial type of moe. Refers Underaged/small girls. But take note, that Loli doesn't always means to be young in age.. Even if the girls is 500 years old, she can be considered as loli if she got an under-developed body.
Example : well.. a lot of them.. Taiga Aisaka (toradora)
15. Android
Humanoid Robots.. They're usually (not always) emotionless, but will gain emotions and humanism as the story goes.
Example : Reverie (Planetarian - The Reverie of a Little Planet)
16. Pettanko

23. Zettai Ryouki
err,, how should i explain this..Refers to Skirt-Skin-Long-Stocking.. Zettai Ryouki points at their skin.. gah.. Pictures > Words.. always remember taht it's important for the stockings to be long enough to cover most of the leg..
and there are a lot of others element that refers to lot of things e.g (senpai, ponytail, etc).. but I guess I't enough..
and keep in mind that those elements can be combined.. for example : Maid + Oujousama = Hojou Reika (Goshusho-sama Ninomiya-kun)
