due to all of the illegal mexicans crossing our borders we can assume this to be an invasion by mexico so thuslly should the united states invade and take over mexico and just put an end to it?

well if they dont follow our system and come in illgally and there country does nothing then we should put an end to it by invading them as they are basically invading us.

It's not like it's the entire country's fault that this shit is happening. Mexico doesn't give a shit that their citizens are running away(or do they) and we're not gonna build some super fence to keep them out. I don't see a reason to blame the country for the actions of some unwealthy citizens who believe they can get a better life. I am in no way saying that their actions are justified and that they're not unfairly leeching off of the tax payers, but this is a problem we should solve within our own borders.

I think most of the illegal immigrants actually don't come from Mexico. They come from the many other countries that make up Latin America. In fact, I've talked to several illegal immigrants, and none of them came from Mexico itself. So, if we wanted to stop the problem by invading a country, we'd need to invade all of Latin America. That might not be a bad idea, actually. A lot of those countries have very big problems that aren't going to get better any time soon.

But really, America doesn't need to invade Latin America to solve the problem. All we need to do is allocate money to the people who capture the illegal immigrants and ship them back to whatever country they came from, the INS (I believe that's who's in charge of it). From what I've heard, INS gets a very small amount of money to do what is now a huge job, while Homeland Security and the military still gets a ton of money for a war that no one wants. Maybe things will change in a few months, but who really knows?

I live right next to the border, so I get all the news about how places like juarez have turned into hell itself. Over a hundred murders already this year, and nobody is really doing anything about it. The US is preparing for the eventual spill-over, but as far as I know, that's all they're doing. I dunno, kinda bugs me.

If we fucked with Canada, wouldn't we be fucking with England? Isn't Canada still kind of part of the British Empire or whatever? Eh, even if it isn't, we still shouldn't fuck with Canada. They're doing things well enough on their own. Canada should take over America, if anything.

Invading Mexico wouldn't even help with dealing with illegal immigrants. We could already choose to build a giant electric fence or have machine gun nests on the border ready to shoot anyone who comes across. We could arrest everyone who comes across illegally and send them to prison camps. We don't do most of these things because they are inhumane and immoral.

What non-reprehensible solution would invading Mexico offer that we don't already have the ability to enact? I suppose we could autocratically end corruption in the Mexican government and invest in their economy, but I doubt this is what you were getting at. The concept of this topic espouses pure stupidity.

Invading Canada is also incredibly stupid. Why would the US invade a country that is friendly? The unfortified US-Canada border, the longest unfortified border in the world, is something to be proud of in my opinion. Even if the Americans and Canadians poke fun at each other, the US and Canada have a great relationship. Invading Canada would simply squander this and make the rest of the world hate the US.

Even assuming that one ignores one of the core principles that the US was founded upon, that the people of a country should have the right to self government, what's the motive to invading Canada? Does the US want to seize their maple syrup industry? It's just stupid.

Havnt you learned a better? I mean... the war made the USA poor, they didnt won anything, and many people to die. There is no real thing why you should do it. Its only wasting of money, time and people. And: the American economy would break down if there werent all the cheap immigrant workers. So it would only damage itself double.

I hate when people say shit like this. "The Hispanics are only doing jobs that no one wants." That isn't true. People always want jobs, even if it's mopping up puke or cleaning up shit. Hell, cleaning up shit isn't any worse than working in fast food and having grease splashed all over your face all the time. At least shit wouldn't give you acne.

Plus, it's impossible to find a job right now. Two years ago, the whole "Hispanics do shitty jobs" thing might have worked, but America's economy is so fucked right now, and jobs are so scarce, that that statement holds no water. I know people (and I'm one of them) who would get just about any job right now, and if all the illegal immigrants disappeared, we'd all probably be able to get jobs.

If you came into this country illegally, you broke the law. What happens when you break the law? You get punished. We enforce every other law (even the arbitrary ones) so why the fuck do people feel the need that these people are somehow different?

Now, that this is out of the way. Illegal immigrants are leaving in droves because their primary work (housing, construction,etc) is drying up or completely stopped. They weren't "taking the jobs nobody wants" they were forcing people to work for less. Why would a construction company hire a guy for $9-10/hr when he can hire an illegal for $5/hr? I've worked in warehousing and construction and most of my coworkers were illegal immigrants (usually Guatemalan). Construction, roofing and such are good ways to debunk the "jobs nobody wants" argument. Since not every illegal is a maid in a hotel or a janitor. Even fast food and other restaurant jobs are jobs somebody would want (usually younger people).
