Can't you get around this sort of thing just by being based in another country?
i just read somewhere about a group from switzerland or sweeden(i forget which) that was being herassed for sharing movies over the internet. i think the end result was american copyright laws only aplly in america or something to that affect.
Yeah. It's called The Pirate Bay. They're from Sweden. For those who don't know, The Pirate Bay, TPB, is a torrent sharing website where you can download the torrent for movies, programs, television series, et cetera (yeah, I said that), and download the files from that torrent thanks to the help of a Torrent client, Bittorrent, et cetera.
Here's a list that I had found, thanks to Google, where they were harassed about "stealing money" and "breaking the law", taken from The Pirate Bay website itself.
Pirate Bay "breaks" the legal in USA
And here's a factual article about their "law-breaking" here in the USA.
Pirate Bay is "cracked"
Personally, I love using that site for the movies that I want to download, but I've recently stopped, due to the fact that some files are slow to download. Ugh. Took me forever to download a bunch of movies just from one file torrent. Feel free to keep discussing.
