It should be noted that there *is* a definition of a psychopath and a sociopath
Really, what is it?

Misanthropes, on the other hand, have nothing at all to do with psychopathy or sociopathy. It simply means that one dislikes humanity, which is not a disorder, nor is it a symptom of any disorder. It doesn't need to be addressed, as it is not a pathology, just an attitude.
Thanks for clearing that up. As I said, I put misanthropy on the list since I have encountered people who claim to have been misanthropes from birth. Although, if a person grows up in a misanthropic household, the child would probably develop the attitude. Same as a person growing up in a racist household. Or maybe I'm wrong.

Sociopaths are only slightly different, and the only important difference that needs to be made is that a sociopath *can*, to some extent, adapt to his environment in a way that makes some sense. In other words, a sociopath might grow up in a criminal family and so never able to learn a proper value for human life.
I didn't understand that. If a sociopath has no real value for human life in the first place, how would growing up in a criminal family lessen their value for human life? Or do they have the ability to learn the value of human life? Sorry, I just didn't understand your sentence there.

nor can one person *become* a psychopath or sociopath over time if they are not one already in adulthood.
Not become one, but developing psychopathic/sociopathic tendencies is possible. Well, that's what I've been led to believe.
Your post is brilliant but you didn't really answer the question. If these (two) pathologys were hereditary, how do you think it would affect humanity? You've mentioned that sociopaths and psychopaths would betray each other when they felt like it. So would interactions with others just become incredibly unstable? Especially due to not feeling remorse or empathy to guide actions. As you said they won't go out of their way to cause harm but are indifferent to it.
