It gets me thinking... What's with all the people that comment on favor of Vanilla, and against NTR? Why do they care so much? is it that they hold their morals highly... or perhaps is it their way to deny themselves that they, in fact, are growing to like it, or to express their fear of something like that could happen to them IRL or to their waifus... and it gets me thinking... Why? Why do we feel such connection to a fictional character. These are stories made by an artist who maybe doesn't have all that much experience with dating, or it's meant to forge an unreal scenario for amusement... and it gets me thinking... Since anime is supposed to be escapist medium , a false representation of reality, if there is any reality left in it, how must japan be so that most of this medium comes from it. There is a myriad of manga, anime and visual novel that perhaps represent the best escape to reality, and it's all centered on highschool... And it gets me thinking... Why highschool? why must their age and prime must be between 15-18 years old, as if their lives were going to end after that... why aren't the protagonists eager to leave highschool, eager to finally begin their lives as independent beings?... And it gets me thinking... How's life in japan after highschool? Is a dull life as a college student or a dull life as an under achieved worker... many people, even those who do pass college might not get a satisfactory jobs, and if the pressure made by parents it's as it's implied... then no wonder why so many highschool students suicide so young... with this heavy burden constantly on their minds... and it gets me thinking... japan is a scary place... life is a scary place when your expectations are so high... and the result not so much... it gets me thinking that perhaps escapism is a necessary evil, one that helps us to handle the pressure, to ease the pain of unsuccess and to release our minds from suicide-driving worries...
I think a lot.... What are your thoughts?
