To Cut, Or Not To Cut?

i got to thinking about something. this is to both guys and girls, would you circumcise your son/boy if you have one? think about it thoroughly before you say yes cuz it is good, or no cuz it is bad. why is it bad? why is it good? weigh both sides of the story before saying yes or no. really there are no downs or ups to circumcision.

i personally am, and i dont function any different then any other guy would if he did, or did not have his foreskin cut. apparently the only difference between the two is that if your circumcised then it is easier for your penis to get clean, be clean, or lowers risk of minor infections like yeast infection, or other bacteria based infections.

Ah, the circumcision debate. I'm glad this thread is about that and not about emo cutting and such. This one is a lot more fun.

If I have a male child, I'll probably get it circumcised because that's the norm here in America, and it's easier to do it to a baby than a guy who's 13 or older. Plus, I don't know anything about taking care of an uncircumcised penis, and I don't want to know anything. From what I've heard, it's not hard to clean an uncircumcised penis to keep it from getting dirty, but I have 0% knowledge of the subject. Wouldn't it be bad if the father doesn't know what to tell his son regarding his wee-wee?

Now, to add a little bit of fuel to the fire - I think uncircumcised dicks look fucking weird. I know my opinion doesn't matter much, but I figure a lot of American girls think the same thing. And I don't want to make it harder for my boy to get some tail (once he's at an appropriate age, and all that). It'd be horrible if a girl saw his dick and went, "Ewww, your dick looks all weird. Where's the head?"

hmm...if it's male, cut. albeit only slight advantages obtained if you cut, it's still advantages. unless if there's some new proof of cutting is bad, then cut it is.
for females....i know of not even the slightest advantage, so no to cutting. what's the point anyway? i'll just let her be if she wants to cut it later on. but well, i'll try to learn more in this issue, and my decision might change with more info.....

I don't want to bump that old thread, but there is something in there that I want to discuss.

Somebody in that thread bitched about his parents circumcising him after birth, without caring about his opinion. He said he was angry at them and would have liked for them to wait and ask him when he was old enough to actually answer them. That's such a load of bullshit. Like any guy is going to say, "Yes, mommy and daddy, I would very much like my penis to be cut." Another person in the thread even talks about that situation, how getting circumcised was one of the worst experiences of his life.

Pretty much, the decision your parents make at your birth is going to be the decision you make for the rest of your life. If they circumcise you, you're going to be circumcised, and if they don't, then you're not going to get circumcised, because you don't want your dick to be operated on. That's why it's done to babies.

While fully-grown men getting circumcised is not unheard of, it is often done for religious (man turning to Judaism or marrying a Jewish bride) or medical reasons. So, if you say that you'll let your child decide for himself, you're pretty much deciding that he'll be uncircumcised for his entire life.

I don't think there is sufficient reason to cut a piece of my son's dick off just after he's born.
Nothing really bad happens if you do it, it's just that it's pretty much an outdated religious practice that has carried over to being standard medical practice, and has a few practical advantages so it is not thrown out. But it is not difficult in this day and age to keep yourself clean and VD free either way.

America? America is huge you know and USA is not the America norm ~.~. Yes it's popular (~75%) in the USA and (~30%) for the english canadian. But for French Canadian, mid-america and south ameria it's under 10%. (stats from the World Health Organisation).

If i ever have some child, no i wont get them circumcise. Simply cause i don't want to be circumcise.

i read the other one, it was about if the user hiself was circumcised. im asking if you want to circumcise your child.

anyways besides that, i think it would be a good idea to circumcise your child, provided of course, that you do it once they are born, since they can not remember it then. so it is something you want to decide on very early, or quickly. really when they are circumcised, it does make it harder to masturbate, since the foreskin is a natural penis pleasure thing for masturbating. however when it comes to actual sex it does not make any difference. i know cuz i myself am circumcised. i have had sex before, and it felt awesome, if not better then if i was not circumcised. hell i even lived up to the virgin standard and came real easy.

so really when you think about it, if your gonna look at circumcision as bad, it does force you to use lotion a lot if you are. if yo ulook at it as good, then it does actually heighten sex, cuz your thing is more bare and naked then if it has foreskin.

not ot say that there is something wrong with a non-circumcised penis, just saying i would rather my son be circumcised. no offense to anyone who aint.

Well, to add a little more to the conversation, I've often heard people who are anti-circumcision say that being circumcised means that the guy's dick won't feel as good. To that, I ask, "How do you know how another guy's dick feels?" And I add the fact that, despite being circumcised, masturbation and sex feel great for me. Having my dick touched feels really fucking awesome. I already jerk off at least once every single day, and usually twice. (And sometimes three times. Very rarely, four times.) If my dick felt even better, I would never leave my room.

well some doctors have practiced circumcising women, but actual medical facts prove nothing good comes from circumcising women. it has actually been called vaginal cutting. there are the inner lips to cut off, but then what is the point of doing that? with men its easier, and personally i am gonna circumcise my child.

Personally I think if you see an uncircumcised penis on the interwebs it's not formed correctly. My first boyfriend who I spent 2 years with wasn't circumcised and he didn't look weird at all. He had a normal looking dick, just with some extra skin that didn't quite cover his head when erected.

I wouldn't be phased whether my significant other was or was no circumcised.

However, my other friends, because female friends talk: wondered if the uncircumcised penis was gross, some would say eww to it and not even know what one looked like. Sorta like that's the expected trend. Just like a gay guy wouldn't ever admit he likes to be catcher and not pitcher.

Back on my ex, it's easy to clean, and he never had an issue with cleanliness - you just pull the foreskin back and clean there, no harm done.

In case any of you guys are wondering: No it doesn't feel any different for a girl whether or not he's circumcised.

Another difference between a uncircumcised and circumcised penis is the uncircumcised penis is more sensitive at the head, and from what I've observed, by a lot.

Also, since my ex was my first and I was also his first - I noticed that he got to be in pain during our first time too lol. I pulled his foreskin back too far because of having a virgin canal ;p

A guy actually kinda has to work at his foreskin to make it looser .__.;
I don't mean to prep for sex every time, but if you masturbate on a regular basis that helps it be able to go back further.
At least that was how it was with my ex, any non circumcised guys can yell at me and tell me I'm wrong.

If I were to have a child and it be a boy then I would most likely circumcise him. Like Shaggy mentioned it has medical benefits from it.

I think circumcised is better, because you don't have to worry about it getting dirty with that.. stuff.. ew. Of course I'd have my child circumcised. That's how my family has done it for generations (dad's jewish, mom didn't care)

Circumcised = better and cleansed dick... well, its a tradition here where i am now... and its a symbol of manliness... and some say it triggers the growth hormone, and most im4tnly... my dick doesnt stink coz there is no foreskin that covers the head.... but then again, its just a matter of how you handle proper hygiene. hmmm, i just dont know why some people are scared to be circumcised? it doesnt hurt... hmmm

Well getting circumcised isnt exactly a walk in the park, all that pain and embarrassment, anyway its better since its cleaner and well much more normal(at least from where im at anyway)

Yes, the foreskin is there for a few purpouses:

-Makes intercouse easier
-Protects the glans from becoming desensitized (from rubbing against clothing/underwear)
-Is itself very nerve-rich and greatly contributory to sexual pleasure.

And I agree, that shit about hygene is a crock. If you don't wash your penis enough so that you get infections and stuff you don't deserve your dick.
