If everyone had every gene we'd pretty much all look and act the same.
I'm not talking about every gene. Just the violence one. I'm just assuming it is a trait that humans have since every single human being has the tendency to commit violent acts.
There's a lot of hormones and enzymes and other things that effect humans, for example how girls tend to get a bit bitchy during the pms or that the opposite sex will be attracted to you because of some phermones that you release, there are many people who are fat just because they have a gene that fails to tell them to stop eating. Like these mice, who has a little difference in one gene and the same genes exists in humans and is not as uncommon as you'd think.
a "violence" gene would simply work by producing some substance that made people more violent.
