What if hentai gets banned, PERMANENTLY?

Well it's not going to happen in America anytime soon. We have that whole "rights" thing in the constitution. There would be people in the streets protesting the banning and there would be controversy and news coverage and people talking about it being "A horrible abomination to society and that anyone who masturbates to it at all is going to hell."

Bottom line; I honestly I don't think our government cares what we fap to.

The rules of loli are more screwed up in the United Stats than anything I can think of. Lolicon is protected under the First Amendment, but that doesn't apply if the lolicon is obscene.

Everything said has been said. But just wanted to say that hentai is although not a perfectly normal practice but it is still a very big market in a niche anime industry. Mostly all anime in Japan must be based off something for example Fate Stay Night is an eroge game. Ikkitousen is a completely edgy anime which stays trying to be an anime and in the same time forcing the limit into becoming a hentai. Of course season 3(Great Guardian) IS simply a hentai-ish anime but nevertheless it's happening.

Japan currently going apeshit because soccer moms are demanding the ban of H games. It is retarded and pointless. Like someone has already said "Think of the layoffs and unemployment of many people." Not to even think of the important info that Japan IS one of the biggest manufacturers of Adult contents IN THE WORLD!

And if one morning suddenly a ban of hentai has been brought to my country I will laugh and continue my life. This is because you cannot ban something on the internet. The Internet is the ultimate host sharing systems that is so advanced that the law is currently still trying to keep up with.

If the ban was ever put, nothing will really change. Sure sites that are not from the country that contains this will be shut down but they will continue to live on the internet. This is because as I am writing this right now, millions of people is downloading hentai and perhaps fapping to them right now with the files stably sitting in their PCs or Macs right now. But nonetheless porn will be a substitude.

Exactly. Nothing can really be attackable until someone finally manages to gain a dominion over the internet. That's one of the reasons everyone is watching the U.S. so intently and seeing how Network Neutrality stands; if they manage to overthrow it where phone companies and the government in large have direct control over the internet then it will spell disaster for many industries.

If Hentai get ban i believe that Japan will go bankrupt. Just kidding but i believe that Japan economy may be a little effected by this. And it is say before so is stopping Hentai like stopping pirate now days :D

Btw, the eroge sector is getting worse. Apparently certain game companies believe that the cause of flagging sales and outright banning of certain h-tags were due to the fact that foreign nations are leeching their games for free and enacted a global IP ban... (which can be circumvented by free proxies and whatnot)

As if that's going to solve their problems when it's really their own damn government trying to outright ban their merchandise.

I'm starting to feel less worried when I read comments here. What Jacob said about that website also reassured me. And like many of you have stated, unless they cut off the internet from everyone, distribution will likely continue. Things that are already illegal, like downloading movies, music etc...without paying for em, that still happens despite their being a law against it.


Chances are, we all break the law. Heck, downloading doujins from this website is technically illegal so we'd all be in jail by now...heh.....


Anyway, while distribution may never cease, new productions could be halted if they really shut down all artists and company's that make all this. No more doujins, ero games, hentai videos...We'd have to make due with what we have. If it's one thing I've learned, is that one man can never have enough porn. No matter how much we have on our hard drives, we keep coming back to all our websites FOR MOAR.

A world without new hentai is not something I wanna see.

Even if it were to get banned permanently, people would still find ways to get by.

Au contraire my friend. I'm keeping up with news about the eroge industry, and the more I read, the more I worry about the future of hentai since eroge is just one subset, and I feel it will move into hentai itself.



This statement you made completely disqualifies your previous opinion about not worrying about the future of hentai. Halting sales of hentai is a serious problem in it of itself, and with nothing new circulating the market and the net, we're stuck with old stuff and fanmade stuff. Dunno about you, but that's plenty to worry about there.

Well I'm not saying like "we're out of the blue, nothing to be stressed out about now" lol. But well you know, people will probably find a way to produce it somehow...just like drugs I mean the stuff that's illegal like cocaine right? They still find ways to produce and distribute that despite all the police's efforts. So if they try to stop artists and such they'll probably do it anyway and hope not to get caught.
