I dislike the idea of someone being gay. That doesn't mean I dislike all gays, but something that's gross doesn't stop being gross because some people like it...
But what makes it gross? if one person's perception of something not being gross does not change it's status, how does someone else thinking it is gross make it so?
I also dislike these kinds of questions, since they all have the same lengthy answer and it's too much of a pain to explain fully. I dislike answering rhetorical questions that are meant to silence the opposition since they are simply a play on words, but I will attempt anyway.
It is impossible to say that any one person's opinion can be in any way compelled to become fact, so it should be assumed that when referring one to be true it instead means that it is held by a majority of people, is the cultural standard, or there is another reason for which the opinion is held in high regard. Thus, your question is entirely void as a means to define an argument, and only viable for discerning a person's intent. I really hope I never see a question like that again, although I know I will.
Basically, an explanation isn't needed for a question that asks for a fact that cannot be obtained, and attempts to remove competition by implying that there is a factual answer to a question of opinion.
