Whats your view of the Spanish?

Like with the americans and german, i have some curiosity to see your opinions about the spanish people.

Sometimes, in USA people think that Spain is a third world nation or a south america country. In the other hand, other people think that all in Spain is around the bulls (ole! ole! ¬¬), Damm, i hate this topics about it.

I think many users in FAKKU dont see Spain like this. Sadly, many people in other contries see Spain like this. Hot blood people that are going to kick some ass (random quote by me XD)

Lolz, I'm from South America and I've been to Spain, but I live in the U.S.. So yeah most americans (with a few exceptions) don't know shit about other places and think that everywhere that's not the U.S. is a third-world country, but it makes me feel good about myself when I come down on them like a pile of bricks on how ignorant they are. To tell you the truth, people don't really talk about Spain being a third-world country as much as any other country from South America... and they are pretty insensitive about where I come from :(...

They can enjoy while they can, white people are going to become a minority in the U.S. anyway... Mexicans are gonna take over.

I tend to think of Hispanic people as generally poor and living in substandard conditions. Their governments are corrupt and they flow straight into the U.S. They are very culturally specific and unique and I like that aspect, though Spanish history tends to bite them in the ass when you think about what they did to the natives in Americas during the times of conquistadors/expansion/colonization.

isn't that speculation just for particular hispanic places?

also, it's not only the Spanish that had hurt the natives in America during the 16th century. They were their first, but the English treated the Natives even worse. Only notable event was the Conquistador who wiped out the Aztecs through epidemics.

That's exactly what I'm saying - these are the common views/stereotypes/misconceptions of the Hispanic culture. Of course, I could go into more specific details, e.g. many Hispanic nations are third-world countries but not all of them, and Spain wasn't the only nation to send conquering bastards over to the Americas, but the point is proven.

with those harsh conditions I can see why hispanic people travel to america. you're right too, I should know about most of those "conquerors"

I love the Spanish culture, and anyone who thinks Spain is third world.. wow. I'd love to visit Spain some day.

I like the language, the culture, the everything :3 oh x3 and the accents.

been there before for two weeks,visiting granada,cordoba,madrid,and barcelona.

i gotta say i love it there.i wanna come back if i got the chance to do so.

Soconded. The food was so great it made sad when when I hadd to go back to the U.S. and eat crap :(. I loved the environment, the people and the weather... It was all just so great!

Hehe, you must travel to the north of Spain the next time (Asturias, Galicia) and canary islands of course! (i born in Asturias but i live in Gran Canaria xD)

Well, i want to travel to many places in the future (in Spain and outside) but my problem is the order xD

Lolz, I did go to Galicia when I went and it had really nice weather in the summer and lots of great old buildings and small towns... but there isn't as much to do as in the south (madrid) or Barcelona...

all i can think about spain is greatness.

art,architecture,food,scenery,music,dance,people,weather...epic.

one of the countries i'd like to live in.
