why on earth japanese are so aggressive toward korea

Yes I know of the atrocities Japan has caused to the other countries in Asia, but what do you want them to do?

Being a Korean who ISN'T fluent in Korean and in fact knows more Japanese (albeit a little more, read too much into that and flip out why don't you?)

I guess certain old scars (regarding to what happened then and now) I guess both sides still wish to retain any sense of hostility since neither can apparently forgive each other,

irrelevantly I heard several instances of Koreans doing stuff for japan (MINOR things, mind you)
Like how some koreans work on anime and Hentai, or how not too long ago, how a Korean (if not a few) were butthurt about vocaloids topping the charts, beating some k-pop group on youtube, up to a point where they actually tried flagging said vocaloid videos and tried taking them down in a fit.

In personal opinion; I for one, am indifferent to it all. If japanese want to hate my guts for being Korean, so be it.

That shouldn't hide the fact that there are Japanese and Koreans who (surprise) DON'T hate each other.

Like I have stated I know of the atrocities Japan has committed, but what do you want them to do?





look up the Second Sino-Japanese War and there is a reason why some asian countries still hate Japan since they killed almost 10,000,000 Chinese, Indonesians, Koreans, Filipinos, Indochinese, and prisoners of war. They also started Human experimentation and tortured imprisoned Chinese and Koreans.

I'm guessing that the old people are the ones who hate each others and the younger generation just gets dragged in. I still remember those old bats who were comfort women that STILL demands payment. IN MY OPINION(just to make sure no rager comes in again for the nth time)it's one of those times when parents say "follow my footsteps and hate what I hate son!" some of us Asians are like that so...yeah. It's not easy to get rid of an old habit.

I have many Korean friends and would say that they are very patriotic people. They have a strong sense of pride and this could be a reason to why many of them linger on to the WW2 atrocities done by the Japanese.

All I can say is, look past the color of our flags and remember that we can't always label one by their nationality. It's important for us to be able to forgive and forget.

I think you have to give the Japs a little bit of a break, after all they did get to enjoy being the first country to be nuked. And the brutal ways the soldiers were trained to treat their enemies was cruel. But it doesn't get them a free "get out of jail" pass either. They do have a lot to answer for, hopefully in time, all wounds eventually heal. I hear in japanese schools they hardly mention anything in the history classes about WW2 because it was a dark chapter for them. I say yea, cause they LOST!

Among nations, aggression, unfortunately, appears to be a recurring trend. I think this vendetta also has much to do with each country's sense of nationalistic pride. Often, my dad a relative of mine would show an immediate distaste for Japanese or Korean culture at the mention of anything from the language to its customs, and just as quickly remind me of my heritage and suggest that my interest in the culture of the Philippines is not strong enough or that I'm unfaithful or something. I suspect that this is relative to the fact that my Amang (Grandpa [father's side]) has nearly been killed by Japanese forces twice during WWII (or more, during his stationing at concentration camps on two other, separate occasions). As time passed after the war, his disposition of resentment (which was naturally strong, largely due to the wartime slaughters) began to thin and return to a state of passive friendliness, as there were also times he'd spent with other Japanese during that state.

Going back to my dad relative, he also has periods of receptiveness towards other foreign cultures. He had Japanese friends too, for goodness sake (^~^ )!

So I'm sure that as a matter of fact, this aggression is also largely the responsibility of certain people who just can't let go, and other people who sometimes let go and sometimes don't let go, and that when they can't let go, they tell other people who can't let go, and then the people who can't let go blame the other for starting it.

That said, I sincerely hope that one day, torture/slaughters will cease, and more people that can let go will be more ubiquitous than people who can't :>.

P.S. Dear Japan and Korea, I love both of you. Please stop fighting (TToTT );;;;!

I really fail to see how this is so special. Every country and culture has been bent over more then once by another. If you feel you been wronged then petition for your country to put sanctions against japan until a formal apology and/or payment is accepted. Chances of that are few and far between. Really just gonna have to over it your not the first and will not be the last.
