Well, in this case, that's not the scenario, you won't die by pressing the button, even if someone else presses it after you. This is a question of morals; is a human life worth more to you than a million dollars?

It's also a matter of restraint I guess, who can avoid wantng to press a big, red button? =D

My pardon for the misconception then. In that case of scenario... As I said I don't care about the life of somebody who is a stranger to me, so why should I not press it? It's his life or a bunch of money, the choice is pretty clear for me.

No. after discovering what will happen I can't take the feeling that I murdered someone in random. Maybe if I can choose whose gonna die, then I'll press and press it all over again! My enemies are gone and I gain a money! not at bad deal. (deathnote like scenario)

Then the one who gives us the box turns out to be a shinigami , creepily laugh and says : "Now your soul is mine, buhahaha !!"

I probably would. The odds of it being someone I know, or even someone in my COUNTRY are astronomically low. It sure would suck if it was, though...

This reminds me of a video I saw on youtube a year or so ago, it was some student's project for college, and it was the same dilemma. He decided to press the button, and he died. It turned out he had been hit by a truck, and this was his purgatory. If he would have left the room, he would have been granted access to Heaven. But because he pressed the button, he ended up in Hell. It was an interesting little short film.

I would press it for the sake of pressing it. because, when are you going to be able to have this chance again??

I have a weird feeling if I press the button Ill kill the previous person who pressed the button. Since if I press the button, the next guy may press it to kill me. ( Seen this scenario somewhere)

That button would be pressed before the stranger even finished talking, I don't care about a random person, and I can't help about being curious about big buttons. :D

This is a good question, I'd probably push it because I'm technically not killing anyone, I'm only saying it's okay if they want to kill the person by pushing the button. Besides I could really use a million bucks.
