itd be hard for them to harm torrents, torrents work by connecting 1 pc to another directly to give the file(s) intended. so they would have to go after each individual user. the sites that link to torrents don't actually have the item in question so they are not doing anything wrong, they're only allowing users to connect to 1 another.

the only way they can harm torrents is, if they give companies full reign and control, if they outlaw any site from even using the name of copyrighted material, block all foreign ip's to each country, or virus/hack infestation like some companies did to pirate bay (they ended up getting sued by pirate bay and lost, very funny, so they wont try this again.)
