So far with the addition of netflix [and even before that] I think it was a pretty good buy [upgraded from the very first DS]. Though that is just my opinion. I've heard a few people be on the fence about this one. Most of them say that its because of the battery life, and for a while I agreed with them. The whole battery thing is fixable now [I switched mine to a high cap. battery I think a week after Dream Trigger 3D came out]. The main cons are the battery. I suggest if anyone plays handheld games a lot to invest in a better battery if they buy a 3DS.
The game library for this system is slowly shaping up, so it'd be something to look forward to. The ports near the beginning were a bit worrisome. SSFIV for example, while a good game in its own merit, it is extremely difficult to pull some of the moves in the game. 6 button layouts are for consoles and arcades, not a handheld. This is why Dead or Alive: Dimensions was easy to adapt to, it was originally a 4 button set up so it transitioned very well.
This system feels very different from the last ds versions. This one has a stronger sense of the whole 'online' bit they barely brushed at with the last versions. I'm interested in seeing where this goes.
FUUUUUUUUUUUU I TYPED TOO MUCH!

I stopped reading after the first paragraph BUT I totally agree. I currently have SSF4 and Im pretty happy with it. Its just the battery life kills and I have to tune down the brightness and turn power-saving mode on >.
