MAn I fucking forgot how hard this game can be...
pro tip
-don't mess up your character placement (strategize)
-don't be too passive
-try to get more characters
-watch out for elements.
Yeah it's not a walk in the park on just normal by any means. Couple of pointers from me:
-School/District are obviously training chapters. More shit gets introduced later on so be aware.
-The District chapter determines the route you're on. Conquering Kongoumaru Sanzou's areas and defeating him puts you on Senna's route. Kunagi leaves you during this route. Conquering Idagawa Ren's areas and defeating him puts you on Kunagi's route. Senna leaves you during this route.
-During the National chapter, talk to Sanae when you have less then 100 BP to get her ATM card, which lets you use her bank account. (LOL) Basically this means you generate interest on the money you have (+10% income).
-One nice trick for the first walk through is to join the Hanni cult on Dream Island. You can then get 1 pay 50 Law/50 Income hannies to stick in provinces and rake that cash in. Also don't have to worry too much about their loyalty. (come, on, it's a cult...) Only issue is that if you don't visit the cult every X number of turns (think it was 7 or 8 ) you die, but that's not too big of an issue really. Haniho!
-Build Curry wolves. Each one gives you 50 BP per finance period. Researching curry also increases this, although it's bugged on the last or second to last research upgrade where it'll actually decrease the amount.
-Don't just go nuts and overextend yourself. Keep in mind that the AI is very aggressive in this game and WILL attack you constantly once you hit National. Try to expand so you naturally shield yourself and don't have to fight on multiple fronts. Be sure you have enough units to maintain order/get the proper income/defend your areas. Also fucking visit the SU when they call for you or everyone and their mother declares war on you at once.
-Pay attention to attack range, evade, counter rates, and types to prevent alot of unnecessary damage.
-Loyalty is a pain in the ass. Make sure you keep an eye on it and get that BP rolling.
-H the heroines for benefits other then the H scenes. Some restore the MC's HP, some give BP (err... whatever..), restore loyalty, etc.
If you liked Sengoku Rance, I think this is a must play.
