Alien Swarm [Free on steam]

So upon starting up steam to see if there was anything new or cool I found that Alien Swarm a top down shooter feeling somewhat like a cross between Left 4 Dead and a old arcade style top down shooter was available for free. To my surprise it was actually pretty solid and fun to play. Though a game with 4 player co=op does serve to remind me that I have no friends to play with on steam yet. That aside it is very simply fun and a nice time sink between doing more important things. Has any one else at Fakku played this yet?

Only for the hat on my Pyro. It's fun, but I was never much of a top down arcade fan. I'm still 2D sidescroller.

I thought it was pretty fun but I can see how it's not for everyone. Plus apparently equipping a chainsaw reduces most player's IQ to paint drinking levels as I can successfully fight my swarm through a swarm only to be pinned and unavoidably killed by some dumbass that has mistaken me for an enemy and subsequently decided to anally rape me with the damn thing.
