any good games on the PS3?

i ask as i have been using my ps2 for a while but i just got the ps3 and ac3 but as ive pretty much finished it im wondering what other games are good.is there anything like dot hack gu(which was on the ps2)but for the ps3?or what other games should i take a look at?

Try buying some games that'll take a time for you to stop playing, like Black Ops II, Grand Turismo 5, etc...
Some games i recommend is: Heavy Rain, Dishonored and Skyrim.

Metal Gear Solid 4 is a highly recommended game that you should try playing cuz the graphics are jaw dropping HD awesomeness,the gameplay is OK, & the music is really beautiful & nice.

Avoid Bethesda on PS3 during initial release. As far as games go get God Of War 3 it should be cheap and it is super epic, there's going to be a release of all 3 Mass effects even though I only recommend the first two. Another old game that's pretty good and a shooter is Wolfenstein, if you can find that it should be super cheap and fun as hell. I could recommend a lot more if you could give me a few preferences.

on my ps2 i liked/played killzone, mgs snake eater,hitman blood money,bards tale,mercenaries,just cause but i may wait a bit cause these ps3 games are expensive

Depending on where you live, you can get a lot of those games for cheap these days. Early games like Uncharted shouldn't go for more than $20.

Go buy Just Cause 2 it should be fairly cheap and will give you tons to do in a large space. Example: Buy a mini jet and fly it over the entire island, also dual wield grenade launchers. Go for it bro, but plug your ears the voice acting is horrible.

Don't know what games you have played, so I'm just going to suggest games:

update thanks everyone for your suggestion and i got hitman absolution for 39 and catherine for 19.5 because ill be frank that games are a bit expensive but ill get some other games later like during christmas and i buy them steadily so i can keep saving my money
