Yea, i gotta agree with that. Helos are hard to fly in BF3. I havnt been able to fly them for a while now. I was awesome at it back on BF:MC2.
practice with teh transport heli for a while. thats what I did and now I can fly all of teh helis with good skills, not perfect like I could in bc2, but decent enough. but I will give you a heads up, helis are like cupcakes at a fat kids birthday party, they go fast.
One of your goal as a Heli Pilot:
-In conquest, capture a flag with a Heli,But don't land on it, Hover above it... lol
It really took me some time, before I understand how the heli "rolls" and moves. I already got my Scout Helicopter Service Star.
Attack Helicopters is a bit harder for me, since it only has missile pods. Timing the missiles to contact is obviously harder than a Scout's Minigun.
Best way to practice with the helicopters is to play the co-op mission where all you do is fly a chopper. It's easier to do if you have a friend, but it's still better than trying to practice in the middle of a round of rush.
Also, I just got the PP19 and found that using a PDW so much has actually changed how I play the game. I'm now making the extra effort to flank enemies whenever possible to make up for the gun's lack of range. On top of that, I became a much more proactive recon player, using the MAV to get a quick look at the surrounding areas and spot enemies and plot a path to get around them before I land it on top of a nearby building and get back to work.
Btw, I've been trying to figure out how to kill people with the MAV without the use of C4, but haven't been able to get it to work properly. I've seen people getting crushed by the things, but couldn't figure out how to do it myself.
Also, also, at what point in the recon class do you unlock the M40 sniper rifle?
