Which is the best Final Fantasy series is the best in your opinion.

In my opinion, it's gotta be Final Fantasy VII I mean come on, Prequels? Check, Sequels? Check, Anime? Check, Movie? Hell yeah!!

I've played VII, X, X-2, XII, and X was the only one I liked enough to finish.

I've only played Dirge of Cerberus sequel, couldn't bring my self to play the other abominations... the movie could have been better, IMO 4 and 8 were a lot more fun...
Also 4 has an after years sequel on the wii...

Final Fantasy VII was the best for me. I've played it so many times and still play it today. Second is either Final Fantasy X or XIII. I like the characters in both but not sure which I like more but I beat both.

Final Fantasy VIII. I really like VIII because of the story-line. They did a really good job inter-twining the love story throughout the whole game, and it's was really good all the way through.
My second favorite FF is II. I really like Firion and FFII was my first FF for my NES.

I've got to go with the one that started it all the original Final Fantasy for the NES. After all this time I still love the turn based combat system and classic 8 bit graphics.

Best Final Fantasy? or most profitable? as i see it Final Fantasy 7 is the one that brought RPG into the mainstream therefore is most well known and is probably why it has the most sequesls and spin offs.
But for personal taste, Old school still rules for me, Final Fantasy 6 / 3 (for U.S.) gets my vote.
All the characters in the game had a chance to shine in the spotlight (well all except 2 - umaru and gogo) and it was the first RPG that i grew up with where the main villain Kefka (awesome!!!) actually won and destroyed and ruled the world.
as for the rest, there was always something about the rest of the series that bothered me and kept me from enjoying it too much.
FF7 - Sephiroth had mommy issues and you don't get Aeris back.
FF8 - Too emo. Not as emo as Twilight but g*dammit this was the most emo game of its time...
FF9 - Quina.. seriously, WTF is this thing and why would i let it join my party?? blue magic is not a valid reason to put this on the roster!!!
FF10 - Tidus has daddy issues and wont shut up about it.
FF12 - you will either hate it or love it. i personally didn't hate it but i have to wonder why vahn and penelo were even in the game when it should have been just about ashe.
FF 11 and 13 - online FF... ugh, there are too many places to start, i dont know where to begin.
oh, for those who love Final Fantasy and can take a joke, i recommend watching the spoonyone. at thespoonyexperiment .com. he has VERY funny final fantasy reviews. =3

I always had a soft spot for FF9. The story was captivating, the setting was awesome, the characters were great and the battles were a lot of fun!

Actually, Zidane is the only one in the whole series who actually has to work hard to get the ladies, so that's plus points. The "everyone-fall-for-the-protagonist" move is overrated
