David Hayter as Snake is still the best one. You really have to be one of the best to get Kojima to say that Snake's English voice is superior to his Japanese one.

1. Liam O'Brien -
This guys has done TONS! of roles in games,anime,movies, ect. Love his work too. He puts so much power into his voice Its awesome!
He is also the voice of Wonderful Pistachios
2. Yuri Lowenthal -
He goes from comical character to a serious story so often that it makes me question why he isn't my top favorite.
3. Laura Bailey -
Other than having talent for voice acting in general, She has a really attractive voice, Although she has done alot more anime VA comapared to Video Games and I feel a little sad becuase of that.
--- Also, They ALL play a role in the game Catherine! making the game even better for me ^_^
-Laura being Catherine herself.
-Liam is Orlando
-Yuri = Toby AND Astaroth
4. Nolan North -
Probably best known for voicing Nathan Drake in 'Uncharted' He fits into a action character very well. Hes also Desmond Miles(Assassin's Creed) as well as some marines in the Halo Series, including Sargent Forge in Halo Wars.
5. Sam Witwer -
As far as I know hes only done, StarKiller from Star Wars:The Force Unleashed, I'm also a fan oh his live-action acting too, and it surpised me how well he go into the role of a voice actor so well, Might help if every voice actor had there face plastered to the character (L.A. Noir?)

Yuri from Tales of Vesperia. Also Persona 3/4, and Catherine also have very good English voice acting. Atlus in general usually does a good job with voice acting work.

I'm going to list my favorites along with the characters, I got quite a bit.
1) Lia Sargent as Shion Uzuki
2) Michelle Ruff as KOS-MOS
3) Crispin Freeman as Albedo from the Xenosaga trilogy, these three depicted three of my most loved characters, except that I think Lia didn't do Shion's voice in Episode 2.
4) David Hayter's voice for Naked/Solid Snake in the Metal Gear Solid series.
5) Nolan North, very talented whose icons include Nathan Drake for the Uncharted series and Desmond Miles in Assassin's Creed.
6) Gary Oldman, who did Viktor Reznov and James C Burns as Woods in Call of Duty: Black Ops.
7) Tom Kane, who voices Magneto in Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3.
8) Ruebon Landon, Dante's voice actor from the Devil May Cry series, both game and the anime and Ultimate MvsC 3.
9) Daniel Southworth, voices Vergil from Devil May Cry 3 and also Ultimate MvsC3.
10) Johnny Young Bosch, my favorite character he voiced for a game was Guy Cecil in Tales of the Abyss in my opinion, and also Nero from Devil May Cry 4.

Mike Patton as the Darkness in The Darkness is the most chilling portrayal of anything I've ever heard.
Though I feel obliged to mention:
-Jon St. John as Duke Nukem
-The narrator in Bastion
-Michael Shapiro as the G-man in the Half-Life series (..he also voices Barney, but his performance as G-man is almost as good as Patton as the Darkness)
