This application has failed to start because d3dx9_35.dll was not found, question mark? and your instructions don't match up with what I am seeing in my screen

try reinstalling or updating your directx. btw, this file doesnt come from the game, you need to fix your directx package in order for the game to run (and therefore be able to follow my instructions.)
