Upcoming MMO from NCSoft. It looks amazing, I really hope they bring it over to the US.
Characters are designed by HyungTae Kim. It uses the Unreal 3 engine.
Game Features:
Japanese martial arts
Players might be familiar with such martial arts terms as palm wind, internal skill (neigong) and flying skill (qinggong) which are all available in Blade & Soul. In Blade & Soul, players will have a chance to feel the essence of martialism, chivalrousness and loyalty.
Ever-changing world
The story in Blade & Soul will progress in a way totally different from other MMORPGs. And the things in the game will evolve with the progress of the story.
Anyone from Korea going to test this out when it's available?
Wow this looks very interesting. I'm going to follow the progress of this game
Little discovery:
Last year during E3 2007, Sony revealed that they had entered into an exclusive deal with NCsoft to produce new titles exclusively for the PlayStation 3. This contract included titles from both existing intellectual properties owned by NCsoft as well as new IPs.
With Blade and Soul being one of the first new titles announced from NCsoft since Aion: Tower of Eternity, it's very likely that this is one of the PlayStation 3 titles from the contract. Since there has yet to be official confirmation from NCsoft, take this as pure speculation for right now.
This & Continent of the Ninth are the 2 next MMO i want to try out.
I'm tired of those ''cheap'' download from internet / small business type of mmo.
I want a good lucky MMO, with cool / smooth animation. Those 2 games seem to be giving me what i want.
I also want a Korean mmo, no more of the easy, casual bullshit from the Western company. I want a game that can SUCK MY LIFE!
Aion was VERY well received by the Korean Open Beta, might try it too. Same company publishing B&S, but B&S has the chef director from Lineage 2, which was also pretty succesful
I have been looking this with my friend; it was supposed to come this year, but they postponed (w/e) korean beta testing to 2010. Guess gotta wait still for a year at least D=
Been looking forward to this for some time now. I might give it a try when it comes out. The battle system doesnt look like a generic mmo. Looks hack and slash based to me but can we really make an mmo with that kind of battle system as of now?

I don't see why it would be that impossible. =o
Thou it definetily would make it pretty unique.
I've also read some rumours about that this game would also come on PS3, but that's a rumour and not a sure thing (and i think it might not come for it, but kind of interesting thought to make a MMO game for PS3 and PC). For hack and slash game i think it would be easier to play with console's controller than keyboard.
It's 100% sure it will come on PC. Well all we can do is wait and see.
Looks pretty good to me. I noticed the Cabal-like chicks, which I'm all for! ^_^
(BTW, on a side note, if anyone plays Cabal on Venus server drop me a PM or mail; level 40-ish Blader "Soujirou"). After playing and retiring from WoW I'm kinda wanting more realistic and mature MMO's to play. I saw this on a site but I didn't pay it much attention until now; thanks for the trailer.
