Stop making WW2 games!!! PLease... the making of games for WW2 has lasted longer than the actual war. Why do they insist on repeating something that most people just like to forget?
Because it is easy to draw the "Hero of WWII" card for game creators as making a "creative" game is hard and involves alot of work. As an example, in an RPG (let's say Oblivion) they have to think of the following:
Setting, Characters, Quests, Spells, Weapons, Professions, Skills, Interaction etc.
For a WWII game the most things are set. People know due to (over)information what happened, so they allready have the bread for the story and just need the butter (i.e. a bad storyline and graphics).
