A sequel to Sensible Software’s classic series of Cannon Fodder games has been unveiled by Russian development team GFI. Codemasters, owners of the IP, have told Eurogamer that “Plans to release outside of Russia and the CIS have yet to be announced.” Find the first screenshots and more info after the jump.
GFI say the game will pit you and your tiny disposable soldiers against an international alliance of dictatorships. There will be levels set in space and on the moon. They also mention an isometric environment in full 3D, weather effects, change of time, destructible environments” and “physical water.”

I just tested the demo(just type in "Cannon Fodder 3 demo" into google and you'll find it) and here's what i have to say:
Cannon Fodder is back. Really.
At first i was disappointed.
But after first level it became more and more fun.
So yeah, CF is back.
And some info:
-No "War" music. Some random heavy metal now.
-Units now have 3 hit points. Meaning, soldier got hit 3 times and he's dead.
-United States of Russia to the rescue. Soldiers have American names, but look Russian. And main weapon is AK. So it's all good.
-EXP now crucial. Attack range and rate of fire depend on soldier's level.
-Items, such as bulletproof vest(protects from 1 gunshot), medkit(replenish health of the whole team and other bonuses.
-More weapons. You spawn with AK, but there's also HMG, shotgun, sniper rifle and others.
And much-much more.
