Specificaly Kenji and Rin, I hated EVERYONE else (except Hanako) as they were a complete betrayal to my expectations of a game made by 4chan users.

The comedic male sidekick character is pretty standard. Sunohara in clannad, the friend in Gsenjou etc. Kenji basically fills this position but his whole feminist conspiracy shenanigans and high level are paranoia isn’t something I’ve seen before in a game. Though I am very likely overlooking something I haven’t read.
As for Rin, she could possibly be called a dan or kuudere but I feel like her interactions and overall arc were fairly unique and not really comparable to things with such characters. Her responses actually felt fairly authentic to what a real person with her personality would be like instead of feeling contrived and unexplained/explored.
